The Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation (WCDC) is facilitating a community-wide discussion about merging with the City of Pittsburgh as a pathway to reduce real estate taxes, stabilize the community, and improve service quality. With support from local foundations, WCDC has commissioned studies and hosted focus groups to understand the feasibility and potential impact of a merger from both Wilkinsburg and PIttsburgh’s perspecives.

The people of Wilkinsburg will ultimately vote to decide whether we move forward with a merger. It’s up to us to choose what’s best for our community, and for our future.
